Faheem Rasheed Najm (born September 30, 1985), better known
by his stage name T-Pain, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper
record producer, and actor, currently signed to Young Money Entertainment.
His debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, was released in 2005. In 2007
T-Pain released his second studio album Epiphany, which reached
number one on the Billboard 200. His third studio album
Thr33 Ringz, was released in 2008. T-Pain has earned
two Grammy Awards alongside artists
Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.
T-Pain is the founder of the record label Nappy Boy Entertainment
established in 2005. Throughout his career as a singer, T-Pain
has extensively used the Auto-Tune pitch correction effect.
Revolver (stylized as rEVOLVEr) is the upcoming fourth studio
album by American R&B recording artist T-Pain, set to be released
through his own label Nappy Boy Entertainment, Konvict Muzik, and
RCA Records. Recording sessions for the album have taken place from
2009 to 2011. T-Pain stated that the two R’s in the word, Revolve?
have been capitalized so that in the middle, it says “evolve”,
indicating that T-Pain has evolved as an artist, and as a person
in the period from Thr33 Ringz up till Revolve?. He later stated
that the R’s were put to show how people can be deceived, and
precept incorrectly without looking at the inside of things,
and he then said that this will be the scheme of the album.
The album’s first single, 5 O’clock, was released in 2011
the song features Lily Allen and Wiz Khalifa, it peaked in
the United States at eleven as well as charting worldwide.
T-Pain announced that the album will be released on
December, 6th in an interview with Lady Jade on the F.A.M.E
tour bus, which is the same release date of his first solo
album, “Rappa Ternt Sanga”. At the end of 2009 and
throughout the early part of 2010, several singles
were released from the album; however, the poor
chart performance of these songs caused them
to re-dubbed as promotional singles.
