Cypress Hill is an American Hip-Hop group from South Gate, California. Originally called DVX, the name was changed after Mellow Man Ace left in 1988. Cypress Hill was the first Latino group to have platinum and multi-platinum albums, selling over 18 million albums worldwide.

They are one of the most well known groups in West Coast Rap and are acclaimed for their first two classic albums.
Cypress Hill who passed most of their carrier in Colombia/Sony’s House, just signed up with the Legendary Label West Coast (own by Snoop Dogg) and have link up with the Los Angeles Leakers for a mix of classics and exclusives off their first in six years, upcoming album RISE due to be released around April 6th on Priority Records.

Jay Jenkins (born October 12, 1977), better known by his stage name Young Jeezy, is an American rapper and member of the Hip-Hop group USDA and a former member of Boyz n da Hood. He began his career in 2001 under an independent label and joined Boyz N Da Hood in 2005, the same year his solo major label debut Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 was released. Its single “Soul Survivor“, which featured Akon, became a top-ten hit in the U.S.

Born and raised in the Deep West, Higher Minds have come a long way from their earliest freestyle cyphers and home-made audiotapes. MileSeven and Stevie-b are both San Diego natives and, although separated by a few years, traveled many of the same streets growing up in sunny Southern California. In contrast to the heavy-hitting hip hop powerhouses of the past few decades like New York and L.A., they hailed from a relatively untapped community just beginning to give birth to a new surge of originality and authenticity in music. Determined to be a part of this growing force, Stevie-b and MileSeven set out to hone and sharpen their lyrical skills and release their first ever full length album: Evolution. DeAndre Cortez Way (born July 28, 1990), better known by his stage name Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, or simply Soulja Boy, is an American rapper and Record Producer. DeAndre Way was born in Chicago and moved to Atlanta at age six, where he became interested in rap music. At age 14, he moved to Batesville, Mississippi, with his father, who provided a recording studio for Way to explore his musical ambitions. In September of 2007, his single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The single was initially self-published on the Internet, and it became a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007.

This makes him the youngest person (16 years 10 months) to
Write, Perform, and Produce a number-one song on the Hot 100.

“The DeAndre Way LP” is the rapper’s upcoming third studio album. Way has stated that the album is intended to be his most personal and successful album thus far. When speaking on possible collaborations, he stated he wished to work with artists such as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West among others. According to his official twitter, Way stated that a collaboration with Justin Bieber would be on the album.

Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), (aged 24), popularly known as Biggie Smalls (after a fictional gangster in the 1975 film “Let’s Do It Again”), Frank White (based on a fictional drug baron from the 1990 film King of New York), and by his primary stage name The Notorious B.I.G., was an American rapper.

On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc set Life After Death, released fifteen days later, hit #1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000. Wallace was noted for his “loose, easy flow”, dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Since his death, a further two albums have been released. MTV ranked him at #3 on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time.

Timothy Zachery Mosley (born March 10, 1971), better known by his stage name Timbaland, is an American Grammy Award-winning record producer, singer and rapper.

Timbaland’s first full credit production work was in 1996 on Ginuwine…the Bachelor for R&B singer Ginuwine. After further successful work on Aaliyah’s 1996 album One in a Million and Missy Elliott’s 1997 album Supa Dupa Fly, Timbaland became a prominent producer for R&B and hip-hop artists. Initially he released several albums with fellow rapper Magoo. Timbaland has worked with Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and British X Factor winner Leona Lewis on their upcoming projects. He has also produced tracks for Mariah Carey, Wyclef Jean, Missy Elliott, Keshia Chanté and Jay-Z’s upcoming albums. Timbaland also produced Chris Cornell’s 2009 album Scream. Shakira was asked to record vocals on the song “Give It Up to Me” to be included on Timbaland’s forthcoming album but it was placed on her third studio album She Wolf and released as the second US single instead. In September 2009, Timbaland announced that Shock Value II will be released on November 23 in Europe and November 24 in North America. However it was pushed back to December 8, preceded by the first single which features a new recording artist named SoShy and Nelly Furtado entitled “Morning After Dark“.

It was announced by the Azerbaijan Press Agency that Timbaland is to compose the entry for Azerbaijan in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, which will be held in Bærum, Norway in May 2010. It follows the decision of fellow American producer Jim Beanz to co-write the winning Russian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, Believe by Dima Bilan, which Timbaland also produced.

Christopher Brian Bridges (born September 11, 1977), better known by his stage name Ludacris,
is an American rapper and actor.

Battle of the Sexes is the upcoming seventh studio album from Atlanta rapper, Ludacris
Originally due in 2009, Battle of the Sexes was tagged as a collaboration album by Ludacris and label-mate Shawnna.
A promotional single titled “Everybody Drunk as Fuck” which features vocals from Shawnna was released in April 2009. Shawnna reportedly split from Disturbing tha Peace in 2009 and signed to Nappy Boy Entertainment. It was later reported that Shawnna was removed from the album and became a solo album by Ludacris with guest appearances.

The first single off the album titled “How Low” was made available for digital download in December 2009 on iTunes.
The song premiered at the 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards being performed by Ludacris.

This is the first official release on the Bucktown USA Imprint. The album delivers some of Brooklyn’s finest MCs: Boot Camp Clik, Shabaam Sahdeeq of Polyrhythm Addicts, UG of the Cella Dwellas, Blayzah Blayzah, Smoothe Da Hustler, and Trigger Tha Gambler. Bucktown was inspired by the 1975 Blaxploitation film Bucktown. The soundtrack takes the listener through modern day Bucktown AKA Brooklyn, as coined by the Rap duo Smif-N-Wessun circa 1994, and explores the evolution and current conditions through the eyes of Hip Hop Brooklyn artists.

Jayceon Terrell Taylor (born November 29, 1979), better known by his stage name Game, formerly The Game, is an American rapper. He rose to fame in 2005 with the success of his debut album, The Documentary, and his two Grammy nominations. Since then, he is considered to be a driving force in bringing back the West Coast hip hop scene into the mainstream and competing with many of his East Coast counterparts.

Aside from releasing two albums that debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, Game has gained notoriety for involvement in feuds with other rappers. His music falls under the Gangsta Rap sub genre, a style of Hip-Hop popularized in Compton, California.
