Bad Meets Evil – Hell the Sequel (Deluxe Edition) 2011

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Presented by Shady Records & Interscope Records

Hell: The Sequel, is the debut EP by Bad Meets Evil,
an American Hip-Hop duo composed of Royce da 5’9″ and Eminem.

The duo also collaborated on their 1999 12-inch single, Nuttin’ to Do, along
with several other collaborations released the same year. However, as D12 rose
to fame in the early 2000s, Eminem and Royce had a falling out resulting
in both sides going their separate ways. The feud turned into a public
rivalry between Royce and D12 and lead to Royce releasing three diss
tracks aimed at the group. After disses were exchanged from both
sides, Royce and fallen D12 member Proof reconciled their
differences before Proof’s death in 2006.

Two years later, Royce was featured on D12′s mixtape, Return of the Dozen
Vol.1, nin 2008 and also joined the group on tour in Europe and Canada.

Rumors of Royce and Slaughterhouse signing to Shady Records began in late 2009
when Royce, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Joe Budden appeared alongside Eminem in
the, Forever, video. After months of speculation and anticipation, Eminem
announced in January 2011 that he had officially signed Slaughterhouse
to Shady Records as the full report was made in the
March cover-story for XXL Magazine.

The EP was scheduled for a release on June 14, 2011
by
Shady Records and Interscope Records.

Eminem – Outta Control 2011

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Shady Records / Interscope Records

Marshall Bruce Mathers III (born October 17, 1972), better known by his
stage name Eminem or his alter ego Slim Shady, is an American rapper, record producer,
and actor. Eminem quickly gained popularity in 1999 with his major-label debut album,
The Slim Shady LP, which won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. The following album,
The Marshall Mathers LP, became the fastest-selling solo album in United States
history. It brought Eminem increased popularity, including his own
record label, Shady Records, and brought his group
project, D12, to mainstream recognition.

Songs titled, Echo, and, Living Proof, were leaked onto the Internet in
November 2010, causing speculation among fans about an upcoming collaborative
project now confirmed to be, Bad Meets Evil. In an interview with MTV, Royce
said that two leaked songs will not be on the EP. The album features
production work by Mr. Porter, Havoc, DJ Khalil, Bangladesh,
Sid Roams, Supa Dups and The Smeezingtons.

Eminem announced the title of the EP on his Twitter on May 2,
2011 at midnight. The title is a direct reference to a previous Eminem
and Royce collaboration, Bad Meets Evil, on, The Slim Shady LP, as they end
the song by saying “See you in Hell for the sequel, Bad meets evil”.

Hell: The Sequel, is the debut EP by Bad Meets Evil, an American hip hop duo
composed of Royce da 5’9″ and Eminem. The EP is scheduled for release
on June 14, 2011 by Shady Records and Interscope Records.

Eminem – The Marshall Mathers LP 2000

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Presented by Aftermath/Interscope Records

The Marshall Mathers LP, is the third studio album by American rapper Eminem.
Released May 23, 2000, the album sold more than 1.76 million copies in its first
week just in the US. In 2001, the album won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and
was nominated for Album of the Year. The album was certified 10x platinum by the
RIAA in the United States, and sold over 10.3 million copies in the US. As of
2005 the album had sold over 19 million units worldwide.

The Marshall Mathers LP, has been ranked as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of
all-time by such magazines as Rolling Stone, Time, and XXL. Rolling Stone placed the
album at number 7 on its list of the best albums of the 2000s. The album was ranked
number 302 by Rolling Stone on their list of The 500 Greatest Albums of
All Time. In 2010, Rhapsody named it the #1 record on the
“The 10 Best Albums By White Rappers” list.

In the album’s title, The Marshall Mathers LP, is a more serious and personal album
than his major-label debut, The Slim Shady LP, which predominantly featured his
Slim Shady persona. Much of the album is spent addressing his rise to fame and
attacking those who criticized his first album. Other themes include his
relationship with his family, most notably his mother¸
and Kim Mathers, his former wife.

The album contains various lyric samples and references. It features a number of lines
mimicking songs from Eric B. & Rakim’s album Paid in Full. The chorus to, The Way I Am,
resembles lines from the song, As the Rhyme Goes On, and the first two lines from the
third verse of, I’m Back, are based on lines from, My Melody. In “Marshall Mathers”
Eminem parodies the song, Summer Girls, by LFO when he says “New Kids on the
Block sucked a lotta dick, boy-girl groups make me sick” singing the same
melody of the, Summer Girls, when the original line is “New Kids on the
Block had a bunch of hits, Chinese food makes me sick”.

A Michigan home once occupied by Mr. Marshall “8 Miles” Mathers, was on sale on
eBay on November 30, 2002, which the Current high bid was 12 million, now…?

Monday, April 25th, 2011

Interscope. The album is inspired by their 1999 collaboration and
will feature production from D-12′s Mr. Porter, Havoc,
DJ Khalil, Bangladesh and others.

Eminem about the album…Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into
the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal
in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are…

Royce about the album…I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse
in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and
we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’

Le Scoop: Eminem to headline Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal this July 2011

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

Presented by BlackBerry & RedBull

Eminem’s latest confirmed big venue conquest will be on the BlackBerry
Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Parc Jean-Drapeau, in Montreal this coming July.
Slim Shady will join fellow headliners Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Death Cab For Cutie

stoner Kid Cudi has been announced as one of the featured acts. Talented Canadian
rapper Shad has also been included in the three day event which
takes place on July 29th to 31st.
