Nneka – The Uncomfortable Truth 2009 Promo cdm
One of the best albums of February 2010 is “Concrete Jungle”, the first American release by Nneka, a Nigerian singer-songwriter whose topical and intelligent style of music has been compared to Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu, among others. Her songs typically straddle the line between Hip-Hop, Soul and World music. One of her Concrete Jungle songs, “The Uncomfortable Truth,” is about as close to traditional R&B as Nneka gets. The song is about taking action against political corruption.
